Hillside vines sing
Strawberry notes in wine
Old girls, new lives
Always adventure divine!
This poem, which adorns the label, reflects the strawberry tasting notes and tells the tale of our hill overlooking the barn where we (Sarah and Marie, or read differently and equally appropriately, the old vines) began our new adventure in the country together. This is the first wine we released at Collina De Bella, and this poem is our inaugural composition. Look for a different poem on each varietal that telegraphs the story of the wine through the lens of The Hill.
Tasting notes
A slightly sweet wine with notes of strawberry, raspberry, nectarine, and mango.
Production notes
Collina De Bella Estate Syrah grapes were hand-harvested, crushed, and de-stemmed, then immediately pressed into a stainless steel tank and chilled. After a slow, cool fermentation over 14 days, the fermentation process was halted, resulting in a semi-dry wine with just a touch of sweetness. The wine was aged in stainless steel for several months to preserve the red fruit flavors.
