This poem adorns the label of our barrel-aged Tannat, a new addition to our estate grown, produced, and bottled collection. Look for a different poem on each varietal that telegraphs the story of the wine through the lens of The Hill.
Bold and expressive, this full-bodied red opens with aromas of ripe blackberry, black currant, and dark plum, accented by hints of cocoa, tobacco, and spice. On the palate, firm yet refined tannins provide a powerful backbone, balanced by vibrant acidity and flavors of dark fruit, licorice, and walnut. The finish is long, smooth, and complex.
